Family Takeover: Natalie Zervou-Kerruish

Family Takeover: Natalie Zervou-Kerruish

14 April - 23 June 2019

Sundays, 2.00 - 4.30pm

Every Sunday throughout the exhibitions, families can drop-in to the Drawing Studio and galleries to take part in free, creative and fun activities led by our Family Artist-in-Residence Natalie Zervou-Kerruish. Families are invited to work together through a series of activities using sculpture, performance, and games to respond to key themes from the exhibitions A Tale of Mother’s Bones: Grace Pailthorpe, Reuben Mednikoff and the Birth of Psychorealism and Jonathan Baldock: Facecrime. Join us for sessions where we will take a playful and collaborative approach to consider the body, the surreal and the spiritual.

Family Takeover is suitable for children of all ages and materials are provided free of charge, but donations are welcomed.

The space is wheelchair accessible. For further information about access at Camden Arts Centre, please see here.

Natalie Zervou-Kerruish is an artist with an interest in inclusive practice-based research linking play, sculpture and in between states. She is the founder of Starting With Art, leading workshops that use art to empower adults and children to realise their full potential. Her practice considers the materiality of objects and the body, through participation, performance and games. Her approach to art-making is surreal, sculptural and spiritual, questioning perceptions of reality and boundaries through collaboration and exchange. Read more
