14 April – 23 June 2019
London-based artist Natalie Zervou-Kerruish will be our Family Artist-in-Residence during the exhibitions. With a playful aesthetic, her practice considers the materiality of objects and the body, through sculpture, performance and games. Her approach to art-making is surreal, fun and spiritual, questioning perceptions of reality and boundaries through collaboration and exchange.
Her research-led practice links play, sculpture and in between states. As part of her Design in Education MA at UCL, Zervou-Kerruish examined the potential of both psychoanalysis and phenomenology to support our understanding of how inner and outer experiences shape our interactions with different materials and the worlds in which we live.
During the residency, Zervou-Kerruish will take up residence in the Drawing Studio and lead Family Takeover, our weekly drop-in programme for families, leading creative activities inspired by the exhibitions. Read more
