Difference and Repetition Exhibition

Difference and Repetition Exhibition

24 - 29 July 2012

Difference and Repetition exhibition presents new, site specific works by Abu Hasnat, Kathleen Sweet, Patrick Moses, Philippa Marshall and Thomas Owen.

Owen has a unique eye for detail and observation, producing drawings with a clever combination of clarity and humour. Marshall mixes vibrant colours and delicate brush strokes to create large wall paintings with movement and fluidity. Sweet has worked with wool and thread for many years, most recently combining them with recycled objects to create intricate 3D pieces. Moses’ work is conceptual and is based on his love of words and sound, and Hasnat explores angular shapes and bold colours that give his work a very distinct style.

Working with Michelle Kurth, Georgie Manly and Evan Ifekoya, the artists have investigated new avenues in practice through visits to Camden Arts Centre and studio sessions at Action Space, expanding on materials and processes through experimental workshops.
