These works are full of apparent contradiction which set up a range of discourses. They conflate the cool language of minimalism with intense physiological sensation; sleek barriers of clinical steel protect photographic images of war which are both seductive and repellent. The femininity of swathes of fabric draped over these barriers at once compliment the images and contrast with the male archetypes of authority, heroism and war, calling into question our notions of sexual difference. Recent work is joined by new work made specifically for this space.
