These objects are covered in fine extrusions of clay, a technique traditionally used to create grass or fur on ceramic figurines. The abstract forms suggest the scale of ceramic ornaments whilst drawing on a sense of natural and geological fragments that may have existed for thousands of years.
Phoebe Cummings was the 2012 - 13 Ceramics Fellow at Camden Arts Centre.
