Dorothy Cross’s dramatic construction is made from workmen’s lockers taken from the abandoned Dublin Powerhouse, part of which now houses her studio. The glimpsed interior scenes containing objects relating to past occupancy, allude to themes of power and sexuality. Her one-person show last year at the ICA, Philadelphia, for which the piece was originally made, will be at the Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin in June.
