Recent photographic works by London-based artist John Riddy who uses the camera as a tool with which to describe the world. Time and space are compressed in images which extend the viewers expectations of a photographic description. John Riddy studied at Chelsea School of Art. He exhibits his photographs regularly in Britain, Europe and the USA. Solo exhibitions include; Lawrence Markey Gallery, New York, Galerie Paul Andriesse, Amsterdam, and Firth Street Gallery, London. Other projects include Praeteria, commissioned by The Laboratory at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, Oxford and an exhibition at the De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill on Sea. John Riddy was a recipient of the Sargeant Fellowship at The British School at Rome in 1998/1999.
