Finnish artist and filmmaker Jani Ruscica builds on elements of animation to make a new film based on the idea of a London travelogue as part of Camden Arts Centre Magic Lantern Animation programme. Taking a collaborative approach to filmmaking, Ruscica develops his works through a shared creative process with actors, mime artists and street performers. For his residency, he creates and films a series of narrative shadow plays reflecting the traveller’s experience of a foreign city, based on a variety of historical and contemporary texts.
