These two artists are individually renowned for their innovative and challenging approach to materials and methods of making. The galleries will be ‘dressed’ using elements of photography, painting and sculpture to create a richly decorated environment. Jacqueline Poncelet works with the wall and floor surfaces, covering them with a skin of repeating, reverberating pattern. Laura Ford’s Chintz Girls, frozen in a moment of dancing pleasure, together with a menagerie of stitched and wool-clad animals, neither life-like nor toy-like, inhabit the spaces.
